Attendance

Attendance is a vital part of your development, students will need to keep up full attendance in order to grade as it holds a minimum of 5% of a students score towards grading. Any student who has not been to classes for more that 6/8 weeks without letting the club know his/her reason shall be deemed as having left the club. Unless a good reason has been given, therefore opening up a new position to be filled by a new member.

Not all training is about competing, we shall become a stronger team with your help. We will also hold seminars throughout the year, hopefully inviting other styles to come along for a training session to demonstrate their styles, and for us to demonstrate our style.

GRADING

Grading shall only be held when the clubs instructor feels the students are ready to grade. Grading shall be held every 3 / 4 months to green belt then every 6/8 months thereafter. Students will have to pass a set syllabus given to them by their instructor to a good standard.

AWARDS

Awards shall be held throughout the year to those showing good progress. Awards just don’t go to those who are good at some things but also to those who may be weak in some techniques but have worked hard in improving those techniques.

COMPETITIONS

Competitions shall only be for those who wish to compete, and only when the clubs instructor feels that the students are ready to compete so as to be as safe and fun as possible for each student. Competing is not always about winning it’s about learning, taking back with you what you’ve learnt and working hard to reach your own goals.
